NON-SURGICAL RHINOPLASTY
The non-surgical rhinoplasty is a procedure that involves injecting hyaluronic acid (HA) based dermal fillers into the nose to temporarily reshape precise points of the nose, with small adjustments mainly to the bridge and tip of the nose.
The hyaluronic acid filler settles into where it’s injected to hold the shape, to instantly achieve that desired look. This is perfect for those who want to temporarily address issues like a small bump, a drooping nasal tip, and asymmetry.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty also known as the "15-minute nose job," is a safe, non-invasive alternative to traditional rhinoplasty (nose surgery). It is an ideal and inexpensive choice for those who want to improve the shape of their nose, rather than the size, with no downtime, no general anaesthesia, and no prolonged healing involved.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Everything you need to know about the treatment will be covered in your consultation, but there are a few things that are good to know.

BEFORE TREATMENT:
Before your non-surgical rhinoplasty consultation, you should have a clear idea of what you want as well as what you don’t want.

On the day of your treatment, make sure you are well-hydrated and are not going in on an empty stomach. Also, ensure that Nurse Cherise knows of any medication you are on before your appointment, but this will be discussed thoroughly prior to treatment.
DURING TREATMENT:
Once you have discussed your desired results, the anaesthetic will be applied after the cleansing and prepping of your nose and the surrounding area.
Once the anaesthetic cream kicks in, dermal fillers will be injected in the appropriate areas to achieve the nose shape that you have chosen. You may feel slight pressure or pinching, but the anaesthetic will ensure that you do not experience any real pain.
This is a quick process that is usually done in anything between 15 and 45 minutes.
AFTER TREATMENT:
After this 15-minute rhinoplasty procedure, the treated area might be slightly red or swollen, but you will be able to resume normal activities such as driving yourself home from the clinic.
Both electronic and verbal aftercare instructions will be given straight after treatment is completed.

HOW LONG IS RECOVERY FROM NON-SURGICAL RHINOPLASTY?
After the Non-Surgical Nose Treatment, there is no recovery time needed; you can get straight back to your daily activities or work that does not include any physical activity or sun exposure, the very same day.
Following the treatment, you will see instant results, with final results taking 2 weeks to allow any minor swelling to settle and for the nose to completely heal. Redness at the injected site is normal and expected as with all injectable-related side effects.
The treatment is unlikely to leave any visible marks as it is a non-invasive treatment. More on what to expect during and after the treatment will be thoroughly explained during the consultation before the treatment.

WILL THIS TREATMENT MAKE MY NOSE APPEAR BIGGER?
At AMC, the approach is to make your nose better and never bigger or to appear too wide or too straight. This is a delicate balance, which requires a deep understanding of the anatomy and product, as well as an artistic eye and very precise technique.

HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST?

The effects of the filler vary from person to person, although most people typically need their first re-do about 9 to 12 months after the first treatment.
WHAT SHOULD I AVOID AFTER NON-SURGICAL RHINOPLASTY?
​
All patients must follow the post-treatment advice and report any side effects and concerns that they have following the treatment. Post-treatment advice will be listed in the forms sent to the patient's email once a treatment has been booked to inform and help make any preparations necessary.
Post-non-surgical nose treatment advice includes:
- Avoid exercising immediately following treatment for 24 hours
- Avoid any objects around the nose, including glasses or sunglasses (avoid 6-7 days), and no excessive pressure, touching, or rubbing of the areas injected for the first few days
- There should be no dental treatments for the first few weeks following the treatment. This includes root canal extraction/ treatments or deep filling
- No alcohol or excessive salts for 24 hours
- Avoid applying makeup for 12 hours after the treatment
- Avoid getting a facial, laser treatment, and having hot baths and sauna/ steam room
WHAT ARE THE RISKS OF NON-SURGICAL RHINOPLASTY?

All treatments carry some risk. The main risks are swelling redness, and bruising, which are uncommon and usually very minor. The most important risk is that of vascular occlusion or blockage of veins and arteries to the skin of the nose. Vascular occlusion can be prevented from developing into a more serious complication such as skin necrosis when it is spotted early.
