HOW IS THE PROCEDURE PERFORMED?

This is achieved by injecting dermal filler along the contour of the cheekbone until the desired outcome is achieved using an appropriate premium filler utilising a selection of tools (needles and cannulas). The dermal filler can be used to replace volume that may have been lost over time.
DOES THE PROCEDURE HURT?

AMC is committed to minimising any discomfort which may be felt during the procedure. A fine needle or micro-cannula is used, and local anaesthetic can be given in the form of:

WILL THERE BE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

There will be a small amount of swelling initially, but this usually subsides within 48 hours. The patient may experience tenderness and bruising. AMC will always offer a review appointment 2 weeks after the initial appointment to see how the swelling and treatment have settled.

WHEN WILL RESULTS BE SEEN?
​
Results can be seen immediately but further sessions may be required depending on the amount of volume loss. Expectations will be discussed as swelling can be seen straight after the procedure which will subside within 24 – 48 hours with an overall healing period of 2 weeks.
